Player Safety First

Responsible Gaming

At papafa, we believe that gaming should always be an enjoyable and controlled form of entertainment — never a source of financial stress or personal harm. This page outlines the tools, resources, and commitments we have in place to help every player in Indonesia game safely, confidently, and within their means.

21+

Strictly Adults Only The papafa platform is open exclusively to individuals who are 21 years of age or older. Age verification is enforced at registration and during the KYC process. We do not permit minors to access or use our services under any circumstances.

Is Gambling Becoming a Problem?

If you feel that your gambling is no longer fun, that you are chasing losses, spending more than you can afford, or that gaming is affecting your relationships, work, or mental health — please stop playing and reach out to us immediately. Our welfare team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at [email protected]. You can also use the self-exclusion tool described below to restrict your own access without delay.

Our Commitment to Safe Play

Responsible gaming is not a checkbox for papafa — it is a core part of how we operate. We have built a comprehensive framework of policies, technology, and human support to ensure that every player can enjoy our platform safely. Here is what that commitment looks like in practice.

24/7 Welfare support availability, including Indonesian public holidays
21+ Minimum age strictly enforced through mandatory KYC verification
100% Self-exclusion requests honoured immediately upon submission
0 Tolerance for underage access or predatory promotional practices

papafa serves players from Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Bali, Semarang, Makassar, and across the Indonesian archipelago. We recognise that gaming culture in Indonesia spans a wide range of products — from sports betting on BRI Liga 1 and international football, to togel (Indonesia's traditional numbers lottery), slot gacor (high-frequency slot games), and sabung ayam (traditional cockfighting wagering) — and that responsible play looks different across these different formats. Our tools and support resources are designed to apply equally across every product category we offer.

We also recognise that gambling carries an inherent risk of financial loss and that, for some individuals, it can develop into a compulsive behaviour with serious personal consequences. papafa will never market to vulnerable individuals, never encourage players to chase losses, and never design game mechanics intended to exploit psychological weaknesses. Player welfare always takes precedence over commercial outcomes.

Player Protection Tools

papafa gives every registered player direct access to a suite of tools designed to help them stay in control. These tools are available at any time from your account settings, and most take effect immediately.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you are willing to deposit within a defined time window — daily, weekly, or monthly — denominated in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Once a limit is active, no deposit exceeding that amount will be processed within the chosen period.

Decreasing a deposit limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit requires a mandatory 72-hour cooling-off period before the change is applied, giving you time to reconsider.

Set via: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Deposit Limits
Loss Limits

Define the maximum net loss you are comfortable with over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once your loss limit is reached for the period, further wagers will be blocked until the period resets.

This tool is particularly valuable for players who participate in high-frequency games such as slot gacor or live dealer tables, where session losses can accumulate quickly.

Set via: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Loss Limits
Session Time Limits

Set a maximum duration for each play session. When your session time limit is reached, you will receive a clear notification and be prompted to log out. You may also enable a reality-check alert that reminds you of your total session time at regular intervals — for example, every 30 minutes.

Set via: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Session Limits
Take a Break (Cool-Off)

Temporarily suspend your account for a period of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cool-off period, you will not be able to log in, place bets, or make deposits. Cool-off requests take effect immediately and cannot be reversed once activated.

At the end of your chosen period, your account will automatically become accessible again. No manual reactivation is required, but you may extend the period at any time.

Set via: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Take a Break
Self-Exclusion

Permanently or semi-permanently close your account for a minimum period of 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years. Self-exclusion is the strongest protective measure available. Once a self-exclusion period is active, you cannot reverse the decision under any circumstances — including by creating a new account or contacting customer support.

Self-exclusion is intended for players who recognise that they are unable to control their gambling behaviour and need an enforced break to protect their financial and mental wellbeing.

Set via: Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion
Activity History

Review a complete record of your deposits, withdrawals, wagers, and account balance over time. Download your transaction history as a CSV file for your own records or for sharing with a financial advisor.

Awareness of your actual spending is one of the most effective ways to maintain control. We encourage all players to review their activity regularly.

Access via: Account Settings → Transaction History
All tools are free and confidential. Using any of the responsible gaming tools on papafa will not result in marketing communications, account restrictions beyond those you have chosen, or any form of penalty. Your welfare is private and respected.

Recognising Problem Gambling

Problem gambling — sometimes called compulsive gambling or gambling addiction — is a condition in which a person loses control over their gambling behaviour, continues to gamble despite negative consequences, and finds it difficult or impossible to stop. It can affect anyone, regardless of income level, education, or social background. Here are some common warning signs:

Spending more money or time on gambling than you originally intended, or than you can afford.

Chasing losses — continuing to gamble in an attempt to win back money you have already lost.

Lying to family members, friends, or colleagues about how much you are gambling or how much you have lost.

Borrowing money, selling possessions, or withdrawing from savings to fund gambling activity.

Neglecting work, family responsibilities, or social commitments in order to gamble.

Feeling anxious, irritable, or restless when not gambling, or when attempting to cut down.

Gambling as a way to escape stress, depression, loneliness, or other emotional problems.

Losing interest in hobbies, relationships, or activities you previously enjoyed.

Repeatedly trying and failing to cut down or stop gambling on your own.

Self-Assessment: Are You in Control?

Answer the following questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to three or more, it may be time to seek support.

1

Do you often gamble longer or with more money than you originally planned?

2

Have you ever lied to family or friends about the amount of time or money you spend on gambling?

3

Do you feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down or stop gambling?

4

Have you borrowed money or sold possessions in order to gamble or pay gambling debts?

5

Have you missed work, school, or important personal events because of gambling?

6

Do you gamble to escape from problems, stress, or feelings of sadness or anxiety?

7

After losing money, do you feel a strong urge to return as soon as possible to win it back?

There is no shame in seeking help. Problem gambling is a recognised behavioural condition, not a moral failing. Recovery is possible with the right support. If you answered yes to multiple questions above, please reach out to our welfare team or use the self-exclusion tool immediately.

How to Get Help

If you believe gambling is becoming a problem — for yourself or someone you know — take action immediately. The earlier you seek support, the easier recovery will be. Here is how to start.

Immediate Steps You Can Take

Step 1: Activate Self-Exclusion

Go to your account settings and immediately activate self-exclusion for a minimum of 6 months. This will block all access to your papafa account and prevent any new accounts from being created using your personal details.

Step 2: Contact Our Welfare Team

Email [email protected] with the subject line "Welfare Support Request". Our team will respond within 24 hours with information on available resources and support pathways. All enquiries are handled in strict confidence.

Step 3: Tell Someone You Trust

Speak to a family member, close friend, or trusted colleague about what you are experiencing. Problem gambling thrives in secrecy. Breaking that secrecy is a crucial first step toward recovery.

Step 4: Seek Professional Counselling

Consider reaching out to a counsellor or psychologist who specialises in addiction or compulsive behaviours. Many Indonesian cities — including Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Medan — have mental health clinics that offer confidential support for gambling problems.

Step 5: Take Financial Control

Limit your access to funds you might use for gambling. Consider having a trusted person manage your bank accounts or e-wallets (BCA, BRI, OVO, DANA, GoPay) temporarily while you focus on recovery.

papafa Welfare Support

Our dedicated welfare team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including weekends and Indonesian public holidays such as Idul Fitri, Nyepi, and Independence Day. We are here to listen without judgment and to help you access the resources you need.

All welfare communications are handled separately from our commercial operations and are never used for marketing purposes. Your privacy is protected at every step.

Support for Family Members
If someone close to you has a gambling problem, you can also contact our welfare team for guidance on how to approach the situation and where to find family support resources in Indonesia.

Protecting Minors

The papafa platform is strictly for adults aged 21 and over. We take our obligation to prevent underage access very seriously and have implemented multiple safeguards to enforce this restriction.

Mandatory Age Verification

Every new player must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification by submitting a government-issued identity document — such as a KTP (Indonesian national identity card) or passport — before they can make a deposit or place a wager. Age is verified against official records, and accounts failing verification are immediately suspended.

Parental Guidance

If you are a parent or guardian, we strongly recommend using device-level parental controls, content filtering, and banking restrictions to prevent minors in your household from accessing online gambling platforms. papafa will cooperate fully with any investigation into suspected underage access.

Report Underage Access
If you become aware that a person under the age of 21 has registered an account on papafa, or if you believe an underage individual is attempting to access the platform, please notify us immediately at [email protected] with the subject line "Underage Access Report". We will investigate and take action within 24 hours.

Additional Responsible Gaming Features

Marketing Opt-Out

You can unsubscribe from all promotional communications — including emails, SMS messages, and in-platform notifications — at any time from your account settings. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the platform, and you will still receive essential account and security notifications.

Reality Check Reminders

Enable reality-check pop-ups that appear at regular intervals — such as every 30, 60, or 90 minutes — to remind you how long you have been playing and how much you have won or lost in the current session. These reminders help you stay aware of your activity in real time.

Transparent Game Information

Every game on the papafa platform displays clear information on its Return to Player (RTP) percentage, house edge, and payout structure. We do not hide the odds — you have the right to know the mathematical reality of every game you play before you start.
